The start of a new year is always filled with expectations, hopes, dreams and the chance for something new. It also brings continuance.

Did you know that read & dish is 6 years old!! Yep, we’re growing up! It’s hard to believe that 6 years ago this month, a few of us decided to get together “officially” to talk about books, eat great food and drink fine beverages...despite the mocking from other friends and family. (Although, the men in our lives seem to want to be part of  it!) We’ve even taken it to the next level and stayed somewhat organized by creating this blog (if we ever remember to check it). I’ve enjoyed the time we’ve spent together and want to continue meeting for at least 6 more years!!

In these six years, we’ve had people come and go…and come back. We’ve had a wedding, a couple of children and grandchild, we’ve travelled and travelled, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried and we’ve developed some great friendships.
I love our book club and want to wish us all a Happy Birthday!! And, I look forward to the day that we can all get away on a trip together.
